By mixing art, characters, and storytelling, Mexico City-based artist Fernanda Boccard masterfully increases her NFT footprint. These data units come with substantial responsibility.
I am the creator of the Serious and Cool People collection. My mission is to represent the diversity of people in this collection. Serious and Cool People are everyone you see on the street, in a meeting, restaurant, or supermarket. Everyone tries to be serious because they are adults. Still, among that seriousness, there are brushes of color, desires, fears, achievements, dreams, manias, inventions, and actions that make them unique, engaging, and above all… Serious and Cool. In the end, we are all Serious and Cool; we are diverse and human.
Fernanda pays her knowledge forward by educating those interested in NFTs on the demanding learning curve of creating and distributing digital assets.
The vision of Serious and Cool is to be a platform to support emerging artists for them to grow in the NFT space and further build community among everyone involved. I believe that the NFT space has changed the way artists, content creators, and collectors interact with digital content. However, due to its novelty, there is a steep learning curve for newcomers that Serious and Cool People wants to address. Through community building and sharing my experience and resources, I aim to become a reference in the way projects build the NFT space.

I always wanted to start something on my own, and I tried many things, but I had not yet found something that I was passionate enough to work day and night on an idea.
My soul. I can't do something that I don't like, that I'm not proud of. I am 100% true to my essence, and it took me years to be able to say it today.
My days as the creator of Serious and Cool People collection never rest. I am on top of everything, with a team that works with me to make it all work, but I am always present. I'm 100% in charge of the creative part, character design, graphics, social media content, video editing, etc! I love contacting collectors, and I always make it a priority.
The support of the community. I am impressed; the people are very loving! I have received so many comments and messages towards my work that I feel I am doing something right.
I don't know if I can think of anything negative. I don't think there was anything negative because all learning made me grow.
I have not been directly on TV, but I was blown away by JinJa Birkenbeuel mentioned me in a podcast. It was fascinating. I couldn't believe all the nice things she said about me and my collection.

While creating the collection, I listened to 10 audiobooks: The Steve Jobs Biography, The 5 am Club, Atomic Habits, Self Discipline by Ray Clear. I feel that at that moment, I was setting my mind to keep creating no matter what.
And I have a favorite song that I always listen to when I need a boost: Unstoppable by Sia. This song makes me feel powerful!
NFT is all about community, and social media has allowed me to generate bonds beyond the virtual. I use social networks to educate myself, I do not use them as a means of entertainment, but as a way to connect with people who are doing the same as me or something, I want to learn.

Mate! (Argentinian beverage)
I would like to go back to the 30s. And see my family's origins in Italy; I would like to see my great-grandparents making their wines in the north of Italy. (They were winemakers)
My partner Elian Huesca. We talk about NFT all day long, we are always thinking about ideas, looking at other collections, talking about Serious and Cool People, and it's something I'm very passionate about. There are times when I ask him: Elian, aren't we too fanatic?

Acting and Martial Arts ( I have a title, I am South American champion) :)
I try to balance my day even though sometimes I can't leave my desk because of the number of things I have to do. But I set schedules, get up very early, go to work out, and take breaks and walks in the middle of the day.
Gym. I train five times a week.
I leave my cell phone in the room and concentrate on the activity I have to do until I finish it; I can't pick up my cell phone. I set my own rules.
See results after a lot of work.
NFT. It's a perfect mix of everything I'm passionate about. I couldn't have imagined a better place to develop myself professionally.
NFTs aren’t all fun and games, and success is not always guaranteed. Like most things in life, you must embrace the highs, the lows, and everything in-between.
Fernanda advises that before jumping on the NFT train, you must answer these two questions: Who are you? And what would you like to share with the world? After that, all that’s left is perseverance, undeniable dedication, and belief in your creative collection.
I think it is essential to listen to yourself. I have had moments where I have felt lost with the collection, and I have taken my breaks to rest, think and release emotions (usually crying). But when it is just my mind playing against me, I listen to my mantra: Unstoppable by Sia :)
I can do it
Equality. We are all capable of achieving whatever we want.
I have never felt that I couldn't do something because I am a woman, but I have felt uncomfortable in a male-dominated environment.
So the advice I would give to men is: Don't treat someone differently because she is a woman; women have a well-developed sixth sense, and we notice everything. Treat us with respect and give us the same opportunity you would give a man.
Opportunities are created; there is no magic. I heard it in several motivational audios. And it's something that stuck with me.
Launching Serious and Cool People Season 2 and continue to build my community.
I am now starting to create the second part of the collection while participating in interviews, NFT books, events, and podcasts. We are working on the Roadmap for the first season.
successful, successful, successful.
Limits only exist in mind.
